Holiday Studio Access Times (H-SATs)
Holiday Studio Access Times (H-SATs) will run in between terms as our schedule allows. Please see the drop down menu for available dates.
You do not have to be a student of our’s but there are conditions**
Sessions will run 10am – 4pm weekdays ($50) and 9-12 Saturdays ($30).
The three categories when booking the H-SATs:
- WHEEL for a day: $50
- HAND BUILD for a day: $50
- FREE: book 4 x weekday sessions (or $200 minimum spend) and get one free!*
*Discount offer: Book four weekday sessions at the same time ($50 each, ie: minimum $200 spend) and you can book a fifth session for free! Not to be used for $30 Saturday sessions unless you spend $200 first. Sessions do not need to be on consecutive dates. You just need to book them all at the same time! You can change your date for no transfer fee with 24+ hours notice. Be warned though: if you cancel one you’ll forfeit the free one – it’s only fair!

We will provide a detailed instruction manual and expect people to read it carefully and abide by the rules or ask for help. If you have never attended a class at our studio we ask you to tell us upon arrival to ensure you understand our protocols. All Students need to be confident to work independently ie: without a teacher. Not suitable for complete beginners!

**The school rules:
- We will provide a handbook with detailed guidelines about our studio use. It is your responsibility to read it carefully and follow our systems please.
- People who have not attended our studio classes previously or are just not familiar with our studio systems will be required to inform us upon arrival and spend 10 minutes to be inducted.
- Unlimited house clay (Bennett’s Midfire) and houses glazes are available to you for NON-COMMERCIAL purposes. If you intend to sell your work you are welcome to bring your own clay and glazes provided they are compatible with our firing temp (Midfire, Cone 8, oxidation). You must consult with management and may be asked to test them first.
- This opportunity for studio time is not for social purposes. Please respect that many people wish to work quietly and need to concentrate so please keep chatting to a minimum or move outside for extensive conversations.
- Attendees will be allocated a shelf 1500mm x 400mms for work in progress.
- Attendees will be required to name their work and add the class code “HCC” to the bases which must be unglazed.
- Bisque and gloss firing : $15/kg weight. Bisque firing only: $10/kg. Payable on collection.
- Timely collection of fired work required please. We cannot store work.
- Firings will not follow a schedule. We will only fire when we can fill a kiln.

**Terms and conditions:
- Cancellations: If you need to cancel we can transfer you to a future date for no fee but you must let us know at least 24 hours beforehand. If you don’t tell us then we won’t transfer you. No refunds given.
- Please note: We reserve the right to cancel SATs at short notice (if staff are sick for example) or when workshops or events take priority. If we cancel we will always refund or transfer you. If it is short notice we will SMS your phone to let you know, otherwise all communications via email.
- Bookings: Bookings are required (see buttons on left) and payments made in advance.
- Beginners: If you are a complete beginner this is not for you, sorry! There are no teachers.
