A passionate student at Slow Clay Centre for many years, Sarah joined our team as an Intern and Studio Technician and now teaches in our Clay Club program and private classes. Parenthood drew her out of the corporate world of high powered IT start-ups to rekindle a love of clay and creativity, “inspired by the wonderful teachers, space and atmosphere at the studio”. Sarah is ready to help with whatever is needed, and is part of the valuable team that keeps the studio running smoothly; ensuring there’s fresh clay, clean tools and glazes ready, and that the wonderful pieces our students create are wrapped, fired, glazed and ready to go to their new homes each term. As a teacher of the Clay Club Sarah brings her gentle calm and patience but is spot-on-target with her approach to inspiring the students through our open-ended philosophy.
